Aromas and smells during wine tasting are about raising the awareness of perception so we do not wish to rate them we rather leave it to everyone’s own experience.

As regards the vineyard: it is situated in Ábrahámhegy on the border of  Körmic and Berger areas, facing South, overlooking Lake Balaton and surrounded by small hilly woods on the West and the North. It is a bit over half hectare, the smaller part being Riesling de Rhin, while the bigger one is our Hárslevelű („Linden Leaf”) giving the base for our sparkling wine.

Both grape varieties were planted on St.Nicholas’ day in 2015 so this could be considered the first really evaluable crop. These vines came from Andau, Austria. Thanks to their quality, the careful preparation of the soil and the manual planting they are proliferating with a vitality like a fairy tale. Green work on both Linden Leaf and Riesling required a „machete” (☺) with a lot of effort. For the time being (and later on as well) we do not plan to operate with a big vine load even if these vigorous vines could easily handle that. We leave 6-7 light buds with one bunch/year-old shoot.

Lacking the necessary infrastructure yet wine-making is done on a contractual basis by the First Hungarian Winehouse working in a very close cooperation with them to get the desired quality. Since this process is not fully under our control cultured yeasts are used to control fermentation using steel tanks for both fermentation and aging. After a short period of time in the steel tank the wine was fined, filtrated and bottled.
